Support KOffice with your spare "10 minutes" or so

jaroslaw staniek's picture

Hi!
We, at KOffice, are looking for volunteers to make screenshots for 'visual changelogs' of each release. It's really welcome especially alpha and beta stages. Someone would just interview the devs on time, asking about important features, make the screenshots and publish them.

I am not asking for writing whole articles, but hey, it's welcome too.

Then we could avoid comical cases like the one in the article where GIMP is presented instead of Krita ;=)

That said, a habit like “every maintainer delivers (from whatever source) at least one screenshot of "his" app“ would be still nice.

Why KOffice

First question that comes to my mind is why do we have/need one more office... I am very much satisfied with Openoffice.org.

"One more" suggests that

"One more" suggests that OpenOffice.org appeared before KOffice. It's exactly the opposite. And yet, it's KOffice that saves us man-years thanks to using the same frameworks we have in the KDE Project.

1. Why do we need OO.org if a lot of ppl seems to be satisfied with MSOffice?
2. and I doubt that you are satisfied since else you wouldn't have replied Smiling

Agreed

I'm with you dipesh

As another point, the oo developers have made certain choices which they strongly feel are acceptable and right and which I find incredible hinderences and backwards thinking.

KOffice is my favorite group of apps (after kontact/kmail). I like where it's headed and hope it gets the love it needs. (some import/export filters)

I'd be glad to help with screenshots, its actually a way that I could help the community. Where to find out more?
