Above is a suggestion how Ubuntu should better patch their CUPS web interface.
The current way the actual Ubuntu Dapper CUPS web interface warns users about removed functionality is very "undemonstrative". Users will loose lots of time when clicking on various links and buttons, and only at the end of their journey discover it was all in vain....
Better be honest to the point of bluntness! Better remove all those seductive links and buttons; better markup the warning message in red and make it more unambiguous! Like shown in this screenshot....
