Alt+F2
I love alt+f2, I can just put in 'wp:kde', or 'gg:kde' and instantly find the wikipedia page or search on google, or I can even use it to translate stuff between language (VERY useful at times). Though right now I use Opera, but I'm probably going to switch back to Konqueror when KDE 4 comes out (depending on how good Opera 9 is).
I don't think I could live without Alt+F2! Alt+F2 is like the graphical command line, and combined with NoKuake, I also have the command line command line
Tab completion
As a graphical command line, Alt-F2 sorely lacks tab completion. If you don't know the exact name of a command or a file it is of no use.
Alt+F2 does everything and more!
Just recently, I discovered that I needn't any more to tell KDE if what I typed should run in a Konsole or not. It "guesses".
For example, when Konqueror chokes on something that requires one of these overly numerous and useless plugins, I copy the URL in the clipboard then:
Alt+F2 wget Ctrl+V Return
(or)
Alt+F2 mplayer Shift+Insert Return
or else, whatever. Something will happen.
If auto-completion like in Bash were possible, that would be the ultimate start button. I love it and I use it way more than the K Menu, despite its new search feature.
Favicons :(
I've voted "Find small Konqueor icon in the taskbar, add tab/window, go" but for me, Konqueror had usability problem related to this: it changes it's icon to current page's favicon what makes Konqueror's taskbar button unreadable, because:
1) web pages have various favicons: sometimes weird, sometimes being application or system icons, like http://www.kexi-project.org or http://www.kde.org or http://kdevelop.org/mediawiki/index.php.
2) because of 1), after a while I am unable to recognize konqueror taskbar button by favicon (name is usually too short to be readable too). Having konqueror icon all the time unchanged, I could recognize the task much faster.
Try launching a new one instead
Try the other option for a while; to start a new browser from kicker. It only takes less then a second to start one (provided you use the 'keep one preloaded' feature) and if you place the konqueror button in a corner for maximum Fitts-lawness on your kicker its guaranteed to be faster then finding an earlier 'discarded' konq.
Oh, closing a window you 'discarded' earlier as soon as you actually don't need it anymore makes your taskbar more empty so you can actually read your entries again.
With a little effort you can change your habit and I'm pretty sure it will speed up your workflow.

1. You didn't quite understand. No, I don't want to launch a new Konqueror window, I want to switch back to alread opened site to read it.
This only works for most simple use cases, I guess for 6 yeard old kids
I usually work on >1 things in parallel so I don't know a given window will not be needed anymore. Documents are sometimes big. It will take to find one in my history. It will take a while to load it. I would lose scroll position. I will lose server-side sessions.

Hmm? Then the comment that the favicon is not usefull for you just does not make any sense. Returning to your cnn website or slashdot website really is easier _without_ the icon of that site??
If so, you must be one of the very few people that does not recognize images faster than names.
With your way of working the second part of my suggestion indeed does not work; it only works if you locate a konq window to reuse for a new site. I assumed that is what you meant as your post would have no bearing on the poll otherwise.
Its a practice that I see in some people since they remember the times when it takes various seconds to open a konqueror window.
Here is a use case for you
Task:
Find the already open Konqueror window with the CNN website in it.
Correct solution:
1) Click on the taskbar icon that has an Amarok icon on it and displays the text "Amarok...". (In fact, it looks exactly like the taskbar entry for the Amarok application next to it.)
2) Click the CNN tab in the Konqueror window that you just raised.

The problem is that the combination tabbed browser + displaying favicon and page title from whatever tab is active inside the browser at the moment is broken from a usability perspective.
