KHTML2 progress

rwlbuis's picture

I promised to report on the khtml2 progress, on behalf of WildFox, since he didn't find the time
to report himself, having to go on a well deserved holiday Smiling
Basically a lot of code is "ported", and Niko started on a lot of RenderObject related code.
Because of this, a lot already shows up in screenshots, like lists, tables, general text, divs. etc.
Have a look at these screenshots (I am not able to put them inline, since most are too big... ) :

Really great stuff...

Congrats!
BTW, slightly more technically, i'd like to know how much is this an improvement of khtml 1 and how much a rewrite.
What are you trying to achieve that could not be done with khtml 1?
Is this in any way related to WebCore?

Thanks!

Re: Really great stuff...

Thnx!
Sorry, I didn't explain khtml2 very well before.
See my last blog entry for a hopefully better explanation Smiling
Cheers,

Rob.
